I’m delighted to be part of The Teaching Room, where I have the privilege of supporting students on their learning journeys. I hold a degree in History from The University of Cambridge, along with a PGCE from Oxford, and have been teaching and tutoring for over 9 years. During this time, I’ve worked with learners of all ages and backgrounds, from school pupils through to adult students returning to study. My experience includes working with students in top performing schools, and teaching internationally. I teach a variety of subjects within humanities, history being my favourite! I particularly enjoy helping students build confidence in their own abilities. Supporting home study has been a key part of my work, and I’ve developed a wide range of strategies to make independent learning feel engaging, manageable, and even fun. I believe that every student learns differently, and I like to bring flexibility and creativity into my lessons—whether that means breaking down tricky concepts step by step, using real-world examples, or finding the right resources to suit an individual’s learning style. Outside of teaching, I have a range of interests that often feed back into my work. I enjoy watching the Great British bake off and attempting at some of the competitor's creations (even if they are questionable bakes). I find that bringing humour and a sense of curiosity into the classroom helps students relax and get the most out of their sessions. Above all, I’m passionate about making learning accessible and rewarding. Whether you’re preparing for exams, brushing up on a subject, or simply curious to learn more, I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals.
